For the California Modern enthusiast
Mid-Century Modern Homes
These houses are not about square footage. They are about post-and-beam structure, walls of glass, atrium light, tongue-and-groove ceilings, and the indoor-outdoor life those details make possible. Joshua Busch has sold Eichlers, Neutra-inspired homes, Cliff May ranch houses, Craftsman, and other California Modern work. He speaks the same language as the buyers who care about original mahogany, clerestory windows, radiant heat, and a remodel that stays on theme.
Claude Oakland Eichler
Claude Oakland designed this tract Eichler for Joseph Eichler in 1964. Classic California Modernism: flat roof, post-and-beam frame, atrium courtyard at the center, floor-to-ceiling glass, and mahogany paneling. Finding one that stewards still treat as original, rather than remuddled, is rare.
Later featured in Atomic Ranch as An Eichler Home Blended, Balanced and Bold. We link the article for credit. We do not reproduce its editorial photos or text.
